Welcome to Rebuild Maui Org, a sanctuary of hope and renewal born from the ashes of adversity. Founded by myself and my resilient wife, Jessica Basurto, this non-profit organization is our heartfelt response to the devastation wrought by the Maui fires—an event that not only consumed our home and businesses but also marked our lives with profound personal loss. In the midst of grappling with our reality as refugees living in one of the hotels in Kaanapali, and the heartbreaking miscarriage of our expected child at eight weeks, we were awakened to the shared plight of our community.

Rebuild Maui Org is our pledge to the survivors, offering several years of free housing to support and uplift those who are working tirelessly to regain their footing. Ours is but one story in the tapestry of lives altered by this calamity. It's our steadfast belief that through collective action and compassionate assistance, we can overcome the trials set before us.
